Bill Pedriana, CMO of Big Joe Forklifts, joined IndustrialSage on the floor at MODEX 2022 to share about the company’s various vehicle offerings designed to assist warehouse workers and improve the quality of their jobs. Their central display this year was around “Bud,” a collaborative robot (or “co-bot”) they designed in partnership with Vecna Robotics.

Bud is not 100% fully-automated but rather is user-directed, combining the best of both automation and human ingenuity to achieve optimum results. Bud also functions according to the new MassRobotics interoperability standard, which allows users to mix and match robotic solutions from multiple vendors and partners to accomplish their goals without getting tied to a single brand or system before they’ve determined which is ideal for their business.
