“You know, we’ve been in business since 1959. So everybody knows us as manufacturing rollers, but a lot of people don’t know that we manufacture many other products. So what we’re doing to capture these leads is, we’re utilizing our CRM database, and then we’re dispersing those to the sales team. Right now we’re using a Microsoft Dynamics cRM database.
“We have all different types of videos on our cross-belt sorter, our conveyer, all of our products. So if you google ‘Interroll youtube videos,’ there’s hundreds of videos.”
Ken Ferguson of Interroll USA joined us on the floor at MODEX 2018 in Atlanta to discuss the company’s new light spiral and MSC50, which uses magnets to slow down packages (and therefore protect the goods) going downhill on a conveyer belt without using excess power or generating much noise.
Ken talked about how Interroll uses their CRM to send out local email blasts whenever they’re going to be in a certain region for trade shows like MODEX, and they also hosted a get-together at the Mercedes-Benz stadium in order to make face-to-face connections. Additionally, he emphasized the extensive value that the company places on online video as a key marketing asset.
