This document should help you lay out a solid marketing strategy for your company, and it’s a very helpful guide in showing you how to ask the right questions and keep track of important information that isn’t always kept in one place. But there sure is a lot of material in that spreadsheet, isn’t there? Well, no worries – Danny’s here to sit down and walk you through it page by page in this video tutorial!

THE SIX SECTIONS:

1. The Buyer Persona Matrix

• Who are you trying to reach with your marketing messages? What’s their average age? What are their goals, their hopes, their dreams, their eccentricities? What keeps them up at night? How would you go about explaining your solution to them in thirty seconds or less?

2. The Content Calendar

• What pieces of content do you want to release, and when? Who’s heading up each project? Who are they targeting? What is the main focus of each piece, and where are the leads supposed to end up?

3. The Content Catalog

• What kinds of content have you been producing? What differentiates these pieces from one another? When were they released? Where can you find them?

4. Automation Planning

• What are typical behaviors of leads on a certain buyer journey with you? What happens when they reach certain sections of the funnel? What should you send them if they did [or didn’t] like your latest piece of content?

5. Online Advertising Campaigns

• Where are you going to try and put your message in front of your personas? How are you going to phrase each ad so that it’s more customized to their specific needs, pains, or online habits?

6. Tweets/Social Content

• Space on social media is limited – particularly on sites like Twitter. So plan ahead – what are you going to say in each post? How are you going to shorten it to fit their character limit? What is the shortened version of the link that you will be using in order to save space?

Remember, this document is only a template. Change it up to fit your company needs and strategies.
